Crumble uncooked ground beef into slow cooker. Add pepper, oregano, basil, seasoned salt, onion soup mix. Stir in water, bouillon, tomato sauce and soy sauce; then add celery and carrots. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Turn to high and add cooked macaroni and Parmesan cheese. Cover and cook on high for 10 to 15 minutes or until macaroni is done.
2 lbs. ground beef
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
26 oz. tomato sauce
24 oz. mild salsa
2 cans of beans (I used kidney and black beans)
You can add canned tomatoes
4 cups of beef broth
Add ground beef to a large pan. Season with salt and pepper. Brown until done.
When your hamburger is done, drain the grease. Add all the rest of the ingredients to the crock pot and stir. For the garlic and onion powder, I just sprinkle some over the top of the chili.
Cover and let cook about six hours. I usually start out on high for a couple of hours and then turn it down to low. Cook until the ground beef is tender, about 6 to 8 hours.
You can add corn or peppers. If you don’t have beef broth, use chicken broth. Top with sour cream, cheese and crackers.
